Don't believe the crap that the Bears handed Miami the game. Miami flat out whipped the Bears in EVERY phase of the game. They killed the Bears on special teams and big hits caused a few fumbles (Bears were even fortunate to get one back). The Dolphins defense shut down the Bears offense all day and created turnover after turnover. The Dolphins offense was not great, but when you can go into another team's stadium and run the ball down their throat, you're getting it done. The statement drive was the last drive of the game when the Bears knew Miami was running and the Dolphins still lined up and ran it down the field to tack on a FG.

How many stupid penalties did Miami have? I lost track. Traylor jumping offsides when they had the Bears pinned on the 1. Bowens jumping offsides on the punt that gave the Bears a 1st down. Holliday jumping offsides on 4th and 4. Miami was fortunate to overcome those kind of mistakes.

One penalty that did not disturb me as much as it might in different circumstances was the play where Hadnot was called for a late hit. I realize that it might have been costly, but I liked the attitude of an OL down the field trying to pick defensiev guys off a tackle.

Great game by Jason Taylor. He showed again why he is a top player in the NFL, and abused one of the better OT's (Tait) in the NFL.

Ronnie Brown is clearly one of those RB's who gets better with more carries. He looked indecisive and hesitant early in the game, but once he got 10 or 15 carries, it seemed like he became a different RB ... attacking the hole and finishing runs hard. Miami please make a note ... get Brown more carries.

What a difference in defense with a S (Bell) actually making plays, rather than running with his back to the ball flapping his arms like a chicken. And Jason Allen has some closing speed and it will be interesting to see him when he is comfortable in the defense (although whether that is a CB or S remains to be seen).

It is becoming apparent to me that Zach Thomas is losing steam. The guy is still playing all out, but he is starting to look half a step slow at times to me, which was rarely ever the case in the past. With his struggles to maintain weight, that is a bad combination.

I hate to complain about play calling when Miami finally runs the ball enough, but what the hell is it with all of those damn WR screens? You can't throw those passes when the DB is right up at the line.

It's well known that I am not McMichael's biggest fan, esp. as a blocker. But I have to give the guy credit today. Other than one play where he was driven back into Brown, I thought he did a much better job blocking today.

It's painfully obvious when Traylor is out of the game for Miami. They desperately need a NT in the offseason.

If you are disappointed that Harrington is the QB for Miami, take heart ... at least it's not Rex Grossman. Once Miami figured out that Grossman only throws the slant with any consistency and they started jumping that route, you could put a fork in Grossman.

Last, I've been saying for a few weeks that the Bears are good but not special. They'll benefit from playing in the worst division in the NFL, but it will catch up to them. The defense is very good but not great. Their QB is VASTLY over-rated. When the Bears need their QB to make plays (and they will) they will lose more than they win.

I didn't bother watching the game. I was positive they would be "clobbered".... but then again, had I realzed that the Bears were undefeated I would have thought that would be the type of game they would end up winning.

The Bears are not as good as their record, Arizona had them beat, and the Dolphins shouldn't be as bad as their record.
