here is the good bad and the ugly from phinzmania's badmrfrosty

The Good

Yeremiah Bell - With two consecutive strong performances, Bell has suddenly become our best DB. Ive been high on this guy landing a starting position since he got here and always wondered why he never got a shot, especially after this off-season. Its clear one of Sabans biggest mistakes was allowing Tillman to start the season and continue starting up until 2 weeks ago. Bell was obviously the better choice for the S spot and as of now, its showing as such. He lead the team with 9 tackles (getting more than Zach, which is surprising) and had a few nice deflections when his corner got beat. He should of had a pick but the officials disagreed on that Gonzalez call. I thought he had posession of it. If this is any indication on how good Bell can be, I think we finally found a play-maker at the S position thats been sorely needed for years.

Jason Taylor and the D-line - Is there anyone in the league right now thats more involved or makes more plays than Jason Taylor? I know he didn't have a "great game" as far as statistics go, but it was obvious he made major contributions to the pass rush by his mere presence. As usual, our coaching staff moved JT around the field, first stunting on the inside of the line then quickly jumping outside to rush the tackle...What I find interesting is when he lines up on the slot receiver then jumps back to the line to rush. It REALLY seems to have confused the O-line of Chicago and KC the past two weeks. Its a real shame JT couldnt hang on to that pass at the 1. That would of been a nice pick 6 to put us up 20-0. Regardless, the D-line has been playing lights out the last two games shutting down two productive running games and man-handling their O-lines. They pressured Huard all day and stopped a top 3 back in Larry Johnson. Major kudos to JT and the rest of the guys on the line.

Chris Chambers - Now Im sure this wont be a popular pick this week for the good column because Chris did have 1-2 dropped passes but I think I saw something from Chambers that I really never paid attention to: Hes finally getting a little seperation from the DB's. Chris was open most of the day against two vet corners in Ty Law and Pat Surtain. There was this one pass in particular on the first drive of the day where Chambers was wide open going into the endzone but Joey couldnt hit him in stride and had the ball batted down by the S. I thought Chris had a good game considering he was over thrown in the endzone and his two dropped passes. He ended the day with 3 catches for 66 yards.

Ronnie Brown - If there was ever any question whether Ronnie can handle carrying the ball 20+ times a game, I think they have definitely been answered. Ronnie has been running hard all season and is finally showing some major consistency hitting the holes and doing a better job of seeing the field. Although his dancing in the back field has annoyed me since he first came to Miami, I have to admit he made some nice moves back there and even broke some linebackers ankles. Regardless of his 25 carries for 89 yards, I still believe hes being underused and used incorrectly. Ronnie NEEDS to get more touches on the ground and in the air. I thought he should of had 30 carries and maybe 5-8 receptions. Hes OBVIOUSLY our best players on offense and he needs to be fed the ball. I will say this though, his 25 touches on the ground is a big leap from the 10-15 carries he was getting at the beginning of the season.

The O-line - What a difference switching Shelton to RG and D-mac to LT did for this unit. Its nice finally seeing our line push people off the ball and open holes for RB. I think they could still improve though, especially when excecuting the screen play. Hudson Houck finally got the 5 best players at their best positions and got them to gel. Saban should take note because this basically happened last season. It took the line until mid-season to gel and play better. I seriously hope we dont make too many major changes to the line, especially if they continue playing the way they are.

The Secondary - OK the Chiefs have no one at WR that would make you say "wow" but I thought they did a stand up job against them. If not for Tony Gonzalez, the Chiefs would of literally had no offense. Good to see Hill improving and Jason Allen getting some playing time.

Joey Harrington - He came in, did what he was suppose to and walked out with a win. Hes nothing special, but he definitely earned his pay as a caretaker the last two games.

The Bad

Marty Booker - I love Marty as a number two WR, but why does he continue falling on himself when no one is around? He could of taken a WR screen thrown to him atleast 7-8 yards but ended up falling flat on his face. And this definitely isnt the first time its happen. I wonder if Booker gets resigned at the end of the year?

Nick Saban - Ok, this one is definitely tough for me. On one hand, it appears that Saban FINALLY has our team believing they can win. As of now, it would seem that we are out of that slump we were in since the start of the year and its fair to say things are looking better. But on the other hand, I cant help but think why couldnt Saban do this AT THE START OF THE SEASON!? Imagine if the Dolphins had played the way they did the last 2 weeks since the start. We would, without a doubt, be on top of the division because our schedule was fairly easy at that point. As much as I like Nick, I dont know where his head is sometimes. We have lost the majority of our games due to play-calling. Now, I understand that Mularkey is our OC and theres been whispers that Saban has been handcuffing the guy, but I honestly cant see it that way. How can Saban allow Mulark to continue calling the plays he calls that can potentially cost us the game? We go into the second half of the KC game up by 13, we shut down one of the more potent offenses in the game, and what does Mulark do to the reward the team? He calls stupid play after stupid play after stupid play.

Ronnie was getting 4-6 yards a pop per carry, hes known to be a big physical back that wears out defenses in the 3rd and 4th quarter and instead, we opt to call gadget plays just for shits and giggles. I have a major problem with this as it almost cost us the game yesterday. And although Mulark is making the calls, Nick Saban HAS to take the blame for this crap. You cannot tell me that he doesnt have the ability to over-rule his coordinators brain fart from time to time. Saban should fire Mularkey today and allow one of the underlings take over the O until we can find someone competent enough to utilize our talent the way it was meant to be used. Its becoming ridiculous now, and all the blame lays on Nick.

And on that note we hit the:

The Ugly

Mike Mularkey - I know I was critical on those who wanted to fire this guy in week 3 but now I have to agree with them. This has been a MAJOR factor in why we started so poorly. I dont want to hear that we havent been executing properly. Regardless if its the truth or not, you cant expect players to execute stupid plays during situations that call for smart play calling. Mike Mularkey NEEDS to be fired immediately if not sooner. ALOT of you are still holding out hope that we win the rest of our games and end up 10-6, well news flash boys and girls, its definitely not happening with our current offensive coordinator. I dont understand why he calls so many gadget plays in crucial moments. Its as if (like another poster said a while ago) he wants to be the master of the un-expected. The only thing hes doing is killing our drives and allowing the other team to come back in games. I really hope, for our sake, that we lose this bum ASAP.

That being said, Miami is on a 2 game winning streak heading into next week against the Vikes and the Lions the following week. These two games are very winnable if the Miami of the past two weeks shows up. Like I said, alot of you think we can win out and most of you will think it even more if we end up winning our next two and go into the Jax game 5-6. Sorry guys, but the chances are so slim, I cant be optimistic. We should win as much as possible to give the team confidence and hope that it transends into next year...Even though Im suspect of that seeing as we had all the momentum in the world heading into this season and it all went to shit.]
