Our long, hot, humid and icky Summer is finally over!
Yesterday was 90 degrees and you can't even begin to imagine what a GORGEOUS day it is today! It's about 70, breezy and sunny. When you're suffering through such a ridiculously hot Summer, it's easy to forget how beautiful Fall days can be.
Even though we'll be leaving soon for South Florida, I'm so happy and thankful that we get to spend another beautiful Autumn in New York.

Autum up north is pretty with all the leaves changing but it also meant the winter was coming. Spring was always my favorite time of year. After the loooong cold, deary depressing winter I loved the first warm days of spring, 65-70 degress, Blue bird skys. Losing the winter jacket and be able to wear a short sleve shirt, opening Trout day in April wan an annual ritual with my step dad, brother and friends. One of the few thing I miss about living up there.

We're from central NJ, I grew up there and moved here in my mid 20's.Three out of the 4 season were good, I wasn't much of a winter person as I got older. When I was a kid I didn't mind it so much, play football in the snow was fun, shoveling thecar out to go to work sucked.
Loved going upstate NY or N. New Jersey in the fall and check out the foliage, very nice.
One year we went upstate NY for opening Trout day, we were wading chest deep in the stream and it was SNOWING...what the hell were we thinking??
It will always have special place in my heart but when I went back I was shocked to see what happened to my hometown and the surrounding area. The graffitti was unbelievable, it was never like that when I grew up.
Places where we used to fished are all developed, what used to be farms is now high end homes. I could never live there again, too expensive, too crowded and the state government is out of control.
