Has anyone notice underneath the number of post you made there is a small green box and above next to the post number for the thread is a scale?
Being the first day of school, you guys need some homework. Good luck and be kind to the other users.

I take it this is how you send "warnings" to other users like on Instant Messaging. You get a grade, so to speak, by the number of warnings you have from other users. Can we start a poll as to who will be the first to lose the green label? Maybe we should wait until more people register :D

I'm not sure, but I like your answer. I think it rates you on the number of post you make. But I like the part of turning another color if you receive to many warnings not from me but other users. As a test maybe I should remove Steve from the banned list and see if the color will change.

From the manual:
User Reputation in its simplest form is a ranking of your user's benefit to your forum. Its basis comes from the opinions of all of your forum users that choose take part in it.
Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.
User reputation can be a derisive element of your forum so great care should be taken before a decision is made to enable it.
MAYBE I SHOULD TURN IT OFF
I feel a disturbance in the force Luke.
What would be more fun than giving points to good posts would be the ability to give an electric shock through the keyboard to posters who really piss you off. I think I need to visit the patent office now ;)

No, I think it will be ok to leave on. We have a "normal" group on this site. I don't forsee a problem.

How many volts will we be allowed to send? Or would that be determined by your rating.

I'm think somewhere between sticking your tongue on a 9v battery and pissing on an electric fence (yes I've done both).

I've tried the 9 volt battery, and learned fast to bend over more when going through an electric fence.

I think if you expect the worst from people; you'll get it.
I don't like a punitive board. If someone is out of line, the moderator should let them know, privately.
If I was a moderator, I wouldn't give a crap if people complained about other people.

Why are you laughing I'm not kidding. I'm hoping to have a moderator involved in each forum. Bill has already been appointed to the nature forum, and for the Not Crap users, I was thinking of alternating moderators (ex every month or two), giving others a chance to be involved in maintaining this board work. Moderators would be allowed to edit or delete a post that contains obscene information or photo's., and help control personal attacks.
I'm not sure if a moderator will work, but I'm willing to give it a try.
What do others think?

I think it is an excellent idea which will also boost participation in this early stage of the board. Yoga is great first Mod candidate!
